In a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Mines and Geology, Babar Islamov, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Nuruddin Azizi asked for Uzbekistan’s investment in the oil and gas mines in northern Afghanistan.
Additionally, Mr. Azizi requested that Uzbekistan build mineral processing facilities in Afghanistan and invest in copper mines in the provinces of Ghazni and Herat.
According to Babar Islamov, who was quoted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Afghanistan’s copper supplies this country’s two plants, and he also expressed his desire to sign an agreement supporting bilateral investment.
